November is a month where our thoughts turn to thankfulness and gratitude. These feelings can overflow and affect people in our lives as well as people we meet on a daily basis. Most people also feel a desire to live a meaningful life and to know that they make a difference in their world. At our XC meetings in November, we discussed the topic: What value do you bring to your community; to the women you meet at XC events and to your own circle of influence? Here are some of the responses:

* compassion, empathy, hope for women who have given up on themselves

* knowledge, education for women and men on avoiding health concerns

* connecting people, referral source

* inspiring others to see their own value

* encouraging women, supporting small businesses

* listening, making time for others

* complimenting someone every day

* member of Lions Club service organization, vision screening, paying it forward

* community walks for diabetes, church service

* referral source, customer, uses services

* inspire others to step out of their comfort zone by example

* acknowledge everyone you meet

* compliment service people and strangers

* learn from each other

* setting an example

* pro bono life and career coaching, donating services, special causes

* working with young women at UGA

* advocate for any cause

* making connections

* Knowledge and education.

* Connect people and helpothers.

* Open minds to explore opportunities.

* Encouraging others.

* Helping women conventional medicine has given up on.

* Listening and making time for others.

* Compliment others.

* Acknowledge the service that other people provide.
