WomenPartner.org To Set Guinness World

Metro Atlanta, Chicago, Denver and D.C. Business People Save The Date

On New Year’s Eve, WomenPartner.org is attempting to set a Guinness World Record for “most people attending a business speed networking event” (multiple venues) as part of the official launch for its One Million Woman Link Up to show how LinkedIn members can come together to create something bigger than their individual businesses. In order to set the record, WomenPartner.org has to give 5 speed networking events with a total of 357 people spread out between the venues that all start at the same time.NEW Years Eve 2014

So far, 4 free simultaneous events are being organized for business people in Metro AtlantaChicagoDenver and D.C. with more areas to be announced as requests to get involved come in. The events will start at Noon Eastern and end at 3 PM. Besides having an entrepreneurial spirit, the only other requirement for participation is purchasing a t-shirt. The Guinness World Record attempt will provide local and national media opps for everyone involved so they can generate PR for their 2015 business projects. Although the locations for the speed networking events will be announced in early December, pre-registration is underway. Each event will have a different flair based upon the organizer’s type of business.

The current organizers include Bonnie Ross Parker of Xperience Connections and Janice Brooks of Send Out Cards (Atlanta), Donna Smith Bellinger of Group Endeavors (Chicago), Suzi List Nelsen of Countries and Crossroads (Denver), and Janette Blackmore of Chocolate Rider (D.C.). Ms. Parker is the leader of a national women’s networking organization, women’s business networking expert, author and speaker. Ms. Brooks is a Xperience Connections leaders and relationship building consultant. Ms. Bellinger is an author, speaker radio host, entrepreneur and business / entrepreneur adjunct at Columbia University College. Ms. Nelsen is Corporate/Leisure event planner, speaker, retention engagement productivity consultant and revolutionary networker. Ms. Blackmore designs a line of apparel for women with curves who ride motorcycles.

An afterparty will be held online to link together participants from the individual events and the women involved in the One Million Woman Link Up so they can build collaborative business relationships to jumpstart 2015. Activities include a business scavenger hunt in which everyone has to find clues online and offline in order to win prizes, virtual business card exchange, and LinkedIn Company Page cross promotion to grow their followers. Leisurely networking will take place over a 24+ hour period time to accommodate evening New Year’s Eve activities.

Pre-register for the AtlantaChicagoDenver or D.C. speed networking event today. Contact Jerrilynn B. Thomas, founder of WomenPartner.org, at jerrilynnbthomas@womenpartner.org if you have questions or need more information.
