XC Networking Events are local gatherings of 20 to 25 professional women who meet on a monthly basis.
Unlike many networking events that involve rules and roles, annual dues and facility fees, and emphasize referrals and closed business, XC networking events compliment the way women interact. The events are supportive, collaborative, interactional and participative. The goal is to get to know one another and understand business offerings in a comfortable setting that encourages referrals and builds friendships.
The event begins informally, allowing women to get to know one another while sharing a meal. Then, in a more formal setting, each woman gets 3 minutes to introduce her business to the group.
To attend, go to the Calendar and find an event close to you. Groups meet either mid-day or in the evening. Once you click on the location, you will see contact information for the Group Leader. The Event fee is $20, which includes a meal. During the event, you will receive a roster of participants. Payment instructions and contact information are provided for each event.
You are welcome to attend as often and as many different events as you would like – simply pay the event fee for each one. Whether you are shy or outgoing, have a new or an established business, you will find XC events enjoyable, comfortable and productive.
To prepare for an event you will want to
- Be able to succinctly describe your business in 3 minutes
- Have 25 – 30 business cards to pass during the formal event
- Bring extra literature about your products and or services.
