Personal and Professional Growth – Some Ideas

by Cindy Elsberry

Each month at Xperience Connections women share their thoughts on a specific topic during an interactive session.

Not only does the session provide time to exchange ideas, it’s also a chance for women to learn from each other.

The July topic was: Please share something (book, class, motivational saying) that has impacted your personal or professional growth.  Here are some strategies from the attendees at the Powder Springs Xperience Connections hosted by Susan Guthrie & Ghislaine Smith:

  • Create a vision board each year.
  • Speak affirmations out loud to yourself.
  • Watch positive movies.
  • Write something nice everyday and give it as a gift one day.
  • Read Slight Edge (book) by Jeff Olson
  • Add an extra 10 minutes to your day to read, exercise, etc; to be extraordinary.
  • Read Compound Effect (book) Darren Hardy

  • Setting the stage at the beginning of each Xperience Connections event with an opportunity for participants to share their ideas on the month’s topic is proving to be a very worthwhile, informative and enjoyable exchange. It’s amazing how many different ideas women present, how one comment leads to another and that everyone comes away with something of value!
